When Jared enters an inventing competition, he is overjoyed to learn that he has won and that for his prize he can take four friends to any country he likes for a week's holiday.
Since his Uncle Wazza lives in New Zealand he decides he'd like to go there. However, he is stumped about who to take along. Naturally, he wants all the Doofuzz Dudes to accompany him. Unfortunately, someone will be left behind, but who will it be?
When the Dudes arrive at Uncle Wazza's house they are immediately thrown headlong into another adventure.
Uncle Wazza lives across the road from a forest that is on the verge of being chopped down to make way for a shopping centre and car park.
But what about the eggs of the endangered Tuatara that have been discovered in the forest by Uncle Wazza's young next door neighbours?
In a desperate race against time, the Dudes must somehow save the forest and the precious Tuatara eggs.
